ALERT: City of Roswell Council Meeting to Save Big Creek Park

BIG CREEK HIKING AND BIKING TRAILS, PLUS GREEN SPACE TO BE CLEARED FOR 135 PRIVATE TENNIS COURTS

ACTION-ALERT-3.png

Join us Monday 8/13 5:30pm at City Hall to hear the impact that a proposed MOU with the City of Roswell and the privately-funded Krause Family Foundation will have on the existing hiking and biking trails at Big Creek Park. A council vote for the mayor to sign is on the docket. It’s time to have your voice heard.

The current proposal calls for 65 of the 95 acres of park green space to be replaced with 135 tennis courts in a privately owned-facility. The proposal asks for the City to provide the citizen-purchased property AT NO COST for an unlimited length of time.

The facility's impact could cause significant or total loss of ALL greenspace, plus all hiking and biking trails at Big Creek Park.

RAMBO, like the strong majority of the Roswell homeowners, believe the Mayor and Council should find an alternative location, possibly a vacant shopping center that's already clear cut, and SAVE what limited green space exists in the City limits.
