RAMBO Announces New Hollywood Jump Trail at Big Creek Park

Roswell-Alpharetta Mountain Bike Organization (RAMBO), a SORBA Chapter and 501(c)3 nonprofit, is proud to announce the construction of a new mountain bike flow and jump trail in the City of Roswell’s Big Creek Park starting late June 2022. The new Hollywood trail will be professionally built by national trailbuilders, Innovative Dirt Solutions in the park’s popular Freeride Area. The new trail will be RAMBO’s largest financial investment in the park’s history. The trail will include a new progressive wood road gap feature, plus a dozen large jumps and berms over a quarter of a mile in length. Grand opening is August 27, 2022!
Major funding for this new trail project was provided by community grants from corporate partners, Sunbelt Rentals, Maxxis Tires USA, and REI Co-op. Volunteers from these organizations will also take part in the finishing of the trail, alongside RAMBO volunteers, totaling more than 500 man-hours of community service.
Additional trail project support will be provided by local businesses: Hanley Restorations, ABM Agency, Blue Mountain Bikes, AVC Marine, TKD Sign Studios, and generous GoFundMe donations from local riders and residents.

The Big Creek Freeride Area has been evolving since its founding in 1996, and the mountain bike trail network offers a unique mountain bike park experience within an urban setting. The progressive trails allow riders to develop their skills through a challenging, gravity-fed trail network. Local middle and high school mountain bike teams, from the Georgia Cycling Association, call Big Creek Park their training home for each fall season of interscholastic racing.

Big Creek Park attracts 5,000+ mountain bikers and hikers monthly, and this new trail is expected to attract even more visitors from across the Southeast to stay in Roswell. RAMBO is grateful for the partnership with the City of Roswell’s Recreation, Parks, Historic & Cultural Affairs, as well as the Community Development Department to bring the trail concept to reality.
RAMBO is a Roswell-based 501(c)3 nonprofit, a chapter of the Southern Off Road Bicycle Association (SORBA), and affiliated with the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA). RAMBO and its volunteers have donated more than 27,000 hours of community service and a total financial investment value of more than $500,000 into local parks in Roswell, Alpharetta and Forsyth County over the past 20 years. RAMBO’s mission is to partner with land managers to build and maintain public mountain bike trails, plus offer fun events like our Big Creek Quick Six Enduro and programs for kids and adults in the local community.
